Tim Phillips specializes in plaintiff-side litigation and activist defense, joining the Erlich Law Firm after working with the Law Office of Dennis Cunningham. In collaboration with Jason Erlich, he represents individuals in employment disputes. He is also a member of the legal team defending four activists facing federal charges under a law targeting First Amendment activity. Tim received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota and subsequently graduated cum laude from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, with a Concentration in Public Interest Law. While at Hastings, he received the “Outstanding Performance in Multiple Clinics” Award for his work through the Civil Justice Clinic. He also served as a Symposium Editor with the Hastings Race & Poverty Law Journal. When not engaged in plaintiff-side litigation or activist defense, Tim helps homeless people fight their citations in Traffic Court as a volunteer with the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights. He is also a member of the National Lawyers Guild and the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition. In his free time, Tim enjoys playing the guitar and cello, cooking vegan food, and riding his bicycle. |
